Rocky, a 12 year-old Boston Terrier, passed in June of 2020 from a brain tumor. His pet mom was still grieving over Rocky’s departure, especially with the feeling no one knew what was wrong with him. The veterinarian didn’t recognize the brain tumor and gave him anti-seizure medication; six weeks later, she realized it was a tumor, but it was too late.
Pet mom felt guilt and worried that Rocky was as sad as she was. Not so according to Rocky. When we first connected, Rocky told me when he was in his body, he was a trouble maker and kept his pet mom on her toes as he was always up to mischief. He said he kept getting the other animals in trouble and she didn’t know who caused the situations. This brought laughter from pet mom; actually, she laughed throughout most of the reading, remembering Rocky’s antics. She told me she knew exactly who the trouble maker was; it was Rocky because the others were too good. She did acknowledge she may have let a few things slip by. Rocky went on to say, I am masterful. I know how to get in and out of things discreetly. Pet mom responded he was the only one who knew how to get in and out the screen door.
He told me Braden, who is still living, was his best friend and he liked the others who have passed too. He let me know they are with him and there was also a brown dog. The pet mom thought the brown dog could be her daughter’s. He went on to say the departed cats came around to pester him but they have other friends to be with. Pet mom laughed, saying it would be their way of getting back for being pestered so much during their lifetimes.
Rocky described what it’s like where he is, being beautiful with fields of grass and wildflowers. It rains a lot. What made his pet mom happy was his description of white, puffy clouds that he can jump on and ride. This might be his way of riding in the car that he loved so much.
Rocky’s message for pet mom was, tell her I love her. He gave an incomplete sentence, don’t let the (no words) get you down. Pet mom felt he was telling her she can overcome the grief and guilt she had over his death – to enjoy life. And when we finished, she felt so much better about Rocky’s departure.
Here is what Rocky’s pet mom had to say after the session:
“I am very pleased with the readings I received from Barbara. She spoke with both of my Boston Terriers - one living and one deceased. She described their personalities perfectly and I am thankful for the messages I got from each of them. It’s nice to find someone who is the real deal. Thank you, Barbara, for you good work. I am grateful!”
