KEVIN REMEMBERS THE SUNSHINE BALLS

Kevin was a ten-year old Irish Setter who passed in December of 2022. His people were concerned about the circumstances in which they had to leave his body at the crematory because there were no people there between Christmas and New Year.

When Kevin and I connected, I experienced his soft, tender, loving personality. He told me, Steven, the surviving Irish Setter, was like him. His parents said not when out walking, but otherwise, yes, Steven displayed the same personality.

Kevin told me he loved to run in the field and catch the ball and bring it back and place it at his dad’s feet. He even implied he entered a contest. His dad told me how they would play catch, sometimes even with two balls at a time. His dad thought Kevin’s reference to a contest was Kevin often outlasted him. Kevin shared with me where he was now there are fields to run and play and he catches a sunshine-type ball. After our meeting, Kevin’s mom sent me a picture of the balls he loved the most, with sparkling centers that shimmered like sunshine.

He told me he is in and out of his body. He showed me a grey and white cat and said I have lots of friends. I thought the cat might be one of the ones that departed when Kevin was alive, but his parents said, no.

Kevin spoke about his time of departure, saying there was discomfort when I was in my body, but when I left it was gone. I told him his parents were concerned about the crematory experience and he said there was no feeling for him; it was just my clothing laying there. He wants them to not feel bad.

His departing message for his parents was, “I love you very much. I’m happy where I am. It is all good. Be at peace. Enjoy the pets you have; they all love you the same as I do. Peace, peace, peace.”

Here is a note from Kevin’s parents: “Yes, we will always be Kevin’s mom and dad.

It is so lovely to read! Big hugs to you Barbara. It is really lovely written! Much love to you!”
